Zurich, Switzerland – December 16, 2025 – naoo AG (Düsseldorf: NAO; ISIN: CH1323306329) today announces the launch of naoo Search, a semantic, AI-powered search function that forms a central building block in the company's further development toward a fully AI-personalized social discovery platform. Rather than functioning as a traditional keyword tool, naoo Search offers a meaning- and interest-based approach that allows users to discover content, people, topics, and products within the app. The launch of naoo Search follows the expansion of naoo's AI organization, most recently reinforced by a team of four experienced former IBM engineers.
naoo Search is designed as a discovery engine for the entire platform: users can already explore content, profiles, and creators via a semantic, interest-driven model. naoo Search is based on a multilingual semantic engine that supports English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, and Chinese—enabling discovery across a broad linguistic landscape and diverse creator communities. With the planned launch of naoo Business in the first quarter of 2026, the search will be expanded to include companies, locations, and offers, creating a uniform structure for future monetization models. Thanks to its multimodal approach, the same engine can later be used to cover new areas such as real estate, jobs, or services. This creates additional revenue potential that meaningfully complements the current business model.
The system interprets visual, thematic, and behavioral signals to understand what is relevant to each individual user. This semantic layer connects digital content with real-world discovery—across locations, creators, and experiences. naoo Search is based on naoo's proprietary AI architecture, including its own platforms GAIA for data orchestration and ModelKnife for automated model training, embedding generation, deployment, and real-time serving. This ensures scalability, reliability, and fast iteration cycles.
