naoo combines digital interaction and local retail with the launch of Generation V

  • New platform version enables local activation, merchant integration, and measurable real-world interactions

Zug/Zurich, March 16, 2026– naoo AG (Düsseldorf: Ticker: NAO; ISIN: CH1323306329), operator of the social media and commerce platform naoo, announces the launch of naoo Generation V for the week of March 23, 2026. As announced for Q1 2026, naoo business will go live within the new platform environment. The release marks a decisive milestone in naoo’s strategy to create a closed-loop ecosystem and thereby bridge the gap between digital attention and interactions at the physical point of sale.

Generation V is built on a completely revamped technological foundation. Both the frontend and backend have been completely redesigned to create a significantly more scalable and future-proof platform architecture. This includes a redesigned navigation system, an improved user experience, and a modern, enterprise-grade Java backend designed for future scalability.

At the same time, naoo business is now integrated into the naoo app, enabling local engagement formats within the naoo ecosystem. The rollout follows a dynamically scalable phased model that facilitates rapid merchant onboarding while ensuring high-quality, curated local content.

A key focus of Generation V is the significant expansion of naoo’s map feature, which enhances the connection between digital content, physical locations, and local relevance. As part of the latest app release, five cities are preconfigured on the platform: Zurich, Geneva, Berlin, London, and New York City. Users can gradually discover the first curated local content in these cities on the map, including selected places, local recommendations, and helpful landmarks.

Combined with Kingfluencers AG’s ability to generate digital demand, naoo views the new platform release as a crucial foundation for converting digital attention into measurable local engagement. By the end of February 2026, naoo had recorded approximately 160,000 cumulative downloads, establishing a solid user base for the next phase of platform development.

“With Generation V, naoo has a product architecture that creates unique value through local incentives and measurable activations centered around physical locations, thereby unlocking new potential to extend the funnel from digital attention to real-world interaction. This significantly expands the platform’s strategic possibilities,” says Gregor Doser, Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Director of naoo AG.

The company expects that the newly integrated business layer and the new technical architecture will open up monetization opportunities across additional markets.
